Interested in volunteering with Element 11?

Can I volunteer and what is there for me to do?

Glad you asked! Below is the list of the departments and lead person for that department, following that is a list of what the departments need (so far).

VOLUNTEER DEPARTMENTS

 

  • Gate: Event Gate Staff Shifts.
    • 2011 Lead — Terra
  • Greeters: Event Greeter Staff Shifts.
    • 2011 Lead — Dave Church
  • Placement: Map design, Onsite mapping, Event Placement Shifts.
    • 2011 Lead — Steve Swensen
  • Center Camp: Builders, Stage Managers, Set up & Tear down crew, Painters, Decorators, Materials donations.
    • 2011 Lead — Chance Carlson
  • Fire Show: Fire performers, Safety people, and Tenders
    • 2011 Lead — Gypsy
  • Effigy:Builders, Attendants, Helpers, Materials donations.
    • 2011 Lead — Bobby Gittins
  • Medical: Med Tent Event Shifts.  EMT, RNA, or any medical field experience highly recommended.  Medical supply donations.

To Volunteer please Fill Out Form or email Terra and include:

  1. Your name, contact phone #, and email address
  2. The department(s) you want to be involved with
  3. Your skills and tools / resources
  4. Days and times you are available

You just volunteered!  What happens next?

  • Your contact info will be passed on to the appropriate department, and the volunteer lead will get in touch with you ASAP.
  • Depending on what you volunteer for, that may mean starting up immediately, or it may be closer to the event.
  • When your name is passed on, you will be copied on the email, so that you can get in touch directly with the department lead if you haven’t heard from them.

In general, the goal of the Element 11 burn community this year is to minimize the amount of new stuff that we use– not because we’re cheap, but because it makes no sense to buy stuff when it’s already hanging around in someone’s garage/basement/storage unit.  So if you’ve got a lead on something that will make E-11 burn bright, let us know
