Job Title: Art Director for Element 11, Inc.

Element 11, a vibrant artistic community and event organization, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Art Director to join our team. The Art Director is responsible for providing direction and support to E11 artists, spearheading the Art Grant Committee, coordinating the theme selection process for E11 events, and working closely with various departments for art placement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art management, event coordination, and volunteer management, with a passion for promoting artistic expression and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Art Management:

• Create a yearly art grant committee, award grants, and coordinate payments to recipients
• Ensure E11 features a diverse range of art that represents the community
• Champion art and encourage artists to get involved through civic engagement
• Liaise with artists, builders, and creators, ensuring their needs are met
• Manage Art Grants, EMV, Pre-Burn Show, stART, Burner Day in the Park, and Town Halls

Event Coordination:

• Coordinate the theme selection process for E11 events
• Work closely with EPW and Community departments for art placement
• Ensure all aspects of stART and BDITP are planned in advance and executed properly
• Oversee Flame Arts and Center Camp departments
• Volunteer Management
• Recruit and manage volunteers for departmental lead roles
• Set and adhere to the Grant Budget

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in art management or event coordination
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage volunteers and delegate tasks effectively
• Passion for promoting artistic expression and community engagement

Preferred Experience:

• Prior involvement with Element 11 or similar art-focused organizations
• Experience in managing large-scale events and art installations
