Element 11 is seeking a Production Director to join our volunteer team and oversee all aspects of event production.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of five departments: Gate/Greeters, Box Office, Ice Sales, Info Booth, and EPW (Elemental Public Works).

As a Production Director for Element 11, you will be at the core of event operations, ensuring that participants can experience the magic of this transformational event. As a volunteer, you will be part of a passionate and creative community and given the opportunity to develop and hone your skills in event production. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the five departments Gate/Greeters, Box Office, Ice Sales, Info Booth, and EPW (Elemental Public Works)
• Develop and implement production plans to ensure the successful execution of the event
• Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the event runs smoothly
• Ensure all departments adhere to safety and security protocols
• Monitor the performance of all departments and make necessary adjustments
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Manage the budget and ensure that all costs are kept within budget
• Ensure all departments are staffed adequately, working with the Volunteer Director
• Provide guidance and support to department leads
• Develop and manage production schedules in Asana (project management tool)
• Monitor and ensure that all production deadlines are met
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and stored

Qualifications
• Have attended Element 11 as a participant at least once
• Understanding of event production and Burning Man culture
• Ability to work with diverse individuals
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Basic computer literacy including email, Google Drive, Slack and project management applications
